My First Shot at Color Blocking

Spring is in the air (I guess in my case, summer, since it is always warm in SoCal)! I know the new season has not fully kicked in yet, but I thought it was such a great day to rock bright colors to bring in my birth month (or so I thought).

Since I am currently in the process of job-hunting, the only time I get to dress up is when I actually had somewhere to go. I drove out to Corona to see a friend. I didn't expect it to be so windy and cold over there so it was a fail on my part. Good thing I always carry a pullover hoodie in my car.

Learning about color theory by just studying the color wheel for makeup also helps with putting color blocked outfits together (or any outfit in general). I just used the rule of 2/3 where I made a triangle out of the three colors with the same amount of spacing between them. In this case, I used pink, blue and lime green. There are so many color combinations to choose from and going shopping at Forever 21 the other day definitely made me go gaga over new spring colors! Maybe I will blog about color theory more as I explore and learn about it more.

I am turning 23 this month and I am so stoked to celebrate my birthday once again!

Anyways, I know my photography right now is more improved with quality but not as good with my angles because I can't seem to find my tripod. So womp, it will definitely get better as my blog progresses.
